Description
Sandalwood is one of the oldest known materials. The oil is steam distilled from coarsely powdered wood and roots. It is reported to have diuretic and urinary antiseptic properties, helpful in the relief of cystitis and gonorrhoea. Very beneficial in the treatment of varicose veins and swollen lymph nodes and has a relaxing effect on the nerves. It is recommended in the treatment of respiratory tract infections. Applied to the skin, as it soothes, cools and moisturizes.
